Fun eBay stories

TWA Travel Posters
The first items I sold were 6 TWA travel posters. My father had mailed them to me when I was in college. I never used them; they were in the mailing tube ever since, so they were in mint condition. I sold the first one of New York City for $450!- just for a piece of paper I'd had for a long time. I sold one of Washington DC to a man who lived in DC. I can imagine it framed on his apartment wall. Some I sold for $250, some of the smaller ones went for $50.

Old Coin
I found a coin in a kitchen drawer- you know the kind of junk drawer. My aunt had given it to me when I visited her several years ago. My uncle had collected coins. I looked at it more closely. It was not worn down, and it said "1877 Silver Trade Dollar" What is that? So I went to eBay and they were selling for $60! I got my fingers busy and listed it.

You can watch the bidding as it progresses. As the week passed the bids were $100, $120, $150 Cool, huh? Twenty seconds before the bidding was over - a new bidder bid $191 - for an old coin in the kitchen junk drawer! That was fun and very profitable!
